Grandpa’s Garden by Brian Frobase

If you are into personal development, you would have heard the thought leaders of today’s time teach, “Look towards the future and leave your past in the past.” Goal setting, planning, and strategy is at the forefront of most people’s minds. The world spins in speedy chaos as everyone seems to strive to reach their next level.
Although there are benefits to goal setting, planning, and strategy, it is essential to remember your past. Oftentimes, the past doesn’t creep into one’s soul until they find themselves lying in a nursing home all alone, awaiting an infrequent visitor.
As you read this book, I am going to take you back in time, to the time between the 30’s and the 60’s. As we go back in time together, we will walk the glory days, smell the flowers in Grandpa’s garden, and reminisce about the days we felt the safest and happiest. Yes, some of my less desirable memories will be addressed; but, only for the sake of the story in its entirety.
I know we all have a story to tell; so, why do I tell mine? What makes mine worthy of such cause? The truth is, your story is just as worthy as mine, and I encourage you to also share it. Take some time during your life to leave your legacy, walking us through the best of your era.
I have found through sharing my story, my kids and grandkids get to officially meet me—dad and grandpa. It is profound to the senses to be privileged to have a portion of one’s life. When we share our story, we welcome others into our life before they entered it; and this is what ultimately bridges the gap from one generation to the next.
It is with these thoughts I lead you into my story of Grandpa’s Garden, where I took time to smell the roses, ate from Grandma’s table, inhaled the love of my life, and was raised into the gentleman I am today.
So, are you ready? Are you ready to open your senses and expand your experiences? Are you ready to allow your heart to be touched and your soul to be scorched with love? If you are ready to walk through Grandpa’s garden with me, then it is time to lick your finger and turn the page.
